Advanced Ab Exercises – BodyWeight Ab Workout
This is my favorite workout with advanced ab exercises. It starts with lie – stand up – jump exercise which is nice for warm up, but you really need to warm up before this workout, because it is hard.
Note: Always prepare body for work – small, light jumps, and warm every joint – 5 minutes is enough.
Try the video below it contains killer six pack ab exercises and let me know what you think. Do the video as instructed, 3 times in a row. But if you want 6 pack abs, than you need more than advanced ab workout, read bout this below the video.
In the video above there are best lower abd exercises, upper ab exercises and you can do all of them at home, no equipment, except a dumbbell, but you can substitute it with a bottle of water.
How to get 6 pack abs?
1. You can’t have six packs abs without a diet. No matter how long you do advanced ab exercises you will not have 6 packs. You need calorie deficit to burn fat and show off muscles lying beneath.
If you have intense 1 hour workout you burn 400-500 calories which are calories in a piece of cake and late. The result of workout plus eating without calorie deficit is that you don’t gain weight or you stay on one place, no progress, no visible abs.
Everybody has 6 pack abs but they lie under fat. To burn fat you need diet and workout together.
2. Do total body workouts, the harder, better. Doing exercises that target directly and only abs muscles is useless and you can cause yourself injury. It is better to do exercises that challenge balance and at the same time needs lots of oxygen.
The best advanced ab exercises are bodyweight exercises done in intense manner so you breath a lot, because to burn fat you need oxygen, this is the reason why people run/walk on treadmill and call this cardio exercises.
Yes cardio burns fat, but if you do steady walking/jogging, than your body gradually adapts, starts to do movements in more efficient way and the results is you gradually need less oxygen and burn less fat.
That’s why steady cardio is not good ab exercise, but if you do interval training on the treadmill this is excellent abs definition workout.
Note: Steady cardio is good for beginners because they need to increase their aerobic capacity. Steady cardio is good also for people with health issues.
But if you are not a beginner and have no health issues, I strongly recommend switching to more advanced cardio – interval training with bodyweight exercises. When you do bodyweight exercises intense – this is cardio workout and helps to define abdominals.
Tell me your opinion about these advanced ab exercises :-)
